Mr. Smalls Skatepark's fifth annual REAL.LIFE.SKATE CAMP will once again be held August 11th-15th, 2008 at Mr. Smalls Skatepark, located in the Millvale Riverfront Park. The newly redesigned park has an in-depth street course with a great variety of ramps for skateboarding, in-line skating and freestyle biking. Our program is modeled after that of Woodward Camp, the premier extreme sports camp in the country, which was developed and directed for 10 years by Mr. Smalls' President and Owner, Mike Speranzo. This one-week intensive for Skate, In-Line & Freestyle Bikers will be instructed by our staff and visiting pros including none other than pro inline legend Chris Edwards and up and coming skateboarder Evan Smith. There will be Pro demos and amateur events for every skill level and prizes provided by many sponsors and skate companies.
REAL.LIFE CAMPS are presented by Mr. Smalls and Creative.Life.Support. C.L.S is responsible for the wide-range of philanthropic services offered in conjunction with Mr. Smalls, to provide learning and professional opportunities for the community. Among these are "C.L.S Records" -a not-for-profit record label, the "Sonic Funhouse" concert series -showcasing Pittsburgh's musical talent, and an extensive college internship program spanning all aspects of Mr Smalls' operations. |
